SSM Integrated Health Technologies Managed Server Administration department has system-wide responsibility for installation, implementation and management of the technical aspects of SSM Health Care’s clinical, financial, administrative system (Wintel) physical server, virtual server, and, electronic messaging environments supporting an enterprise level environment of 500+ physical and virtual servers, in addition to an electronic messaging environment for 20,000 plus end-users.
Besides server hardware, other technologies supported by the group include but are not limited to: Server Operating Systems (Microsoft Server OS, Vmware), Database Management Systems (MS SQL Server), Unified Messaging (Microsoft Exchange), Collaboration (SharePoint and Lync Server), Office Automation (MS Office Suite), and Hand Held Device support (Blackberry, ActiveSync).
Support for the services and infrastructure described above are delivered by the Microsoft Server Administration and Messaging Administration services sub-teams.
